Dr. Joe Watkins, RPA, is a Montgomery Fellow and Visiting Professor at Hokkaido University. His talk titled, "Are the Ainu Indigenous Enough for the Japanese?" explores some of the issues that reside at the heart of Japanese culture and Ainu ethnicity and identity.
